While it opened in June 2016, it’s made quite the impression on locals and visitors alike thanks to its locally sourced menu items and huge selection of beers, wines, cocktails, and blended boozy milkshakes. They serve breakfast items as well as lunch/dinner items. Their lunch and dinner menu includes a dozen burgers as well as melts, sandwiches, salads, and noodle bowls. We highly recommend the Shavano Burger as well as either of the Bulgogi Noodle Bowls. Both of these are great choices after a long day of hiking, skiing, or sightseeing.
Amica’s will be your go-to place if you’re craving some tasty pizza. They’re well-known for their huge selection of wood-fired pizzas, from classic pepperoni to some that feature more gourmet ingredients like cappocolo ham, sundried tomatoes, or Kalamata olives. You can even build your own and gluten-free pizza crusts are available, too. Amica’s menu also includes salads, calzones, paninis, and craft beers from Hubbub Brewing. If you’re in town from Thursday to Sunday, you can stop there for breakfast, too. Their menu features breakfast tacos, burritos, pizzas, and frittatas.
If you’re looking for a quiet and intimate restaurant in Salida that’s perfect for a romantic occasion, head to 216 Ferraro’s. Open for dinner from Monday through Saturday, they serve Italian fare. While their menu changes seasonally, it always includes dishes with house made pasta as well as other traditional Italian dishes. For a little something sweet after your meal, you can’t go wrong with the creme brulee or tiramisu.
Currents is a welcoming and relaxed restaurant that’s great for both lunch and dinner. On their menu, you’ll find hearty steak and seafood options as well as pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Their fish and chips and beef stroganoff consistently receive rave reviews. Currents features an impressive selection of beers and wine along with great happy hour specials. If you’re looking for a little entertainment, there’s Open Mic night on Wednesdays and live music on various nights during the week.
