You’ll find dozens of restaurants offering delicious cuisine throughout the small town of Salida, Colorado. From casual eateries to fine dining establishments, there’s a little something for everyone. We’ve put together a short list of some of our favorite restaurants to help you out once you arrive in town. Keep in mind, this list is not exhaustive by any means. But here are some of our top picks for the best restaurants in Salida
(in no particular order).
Amicas Pizza
Located at 127 F Street, Amicas offers a huge selection of wood-fired pizzas and craft beers. It’s popular among locals and visitors alike thanks to its welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, and, of course, the delicious food. If you’re not in the mood for pizza, they also serve a variety of sandwiches, pasta, salads, and calzones. A number of gluten-free and vegetarian options are available as well.
Sweetie’s Sandwich Shop
If you’re looking for a hearty mid-day meal, look no further than Sweetie’s. Located at 129 W Sackett Ave, Sweetie’s offers an amazing selection of hot and cold sandwiches, all made with tasty ingredients and fresh baked bread. A number of salads and soups are also available. We highly recommend leaving some room for dessert as Sweetie’s features a great variety of delectable baked goods (their brownies are incredible).

Mo Burrito
If you’re looking for something simple but hearty, head to Mo Burrito at 311 H Street. As their name implies, their menu features burritos as well as tacos, nachos, quesadillas, salads, and bowls. They offer a variety of delicious ingredients from which you can select to create your own perfect meal. Even better, they have happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m. daily and they offer a good selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. This is a great stop if you want a fast and fresh meal as well as friendly service.
The Biker & The Baker
The Biker and The Baker is one of the most recent additions to Salida’s food scene and we couldn’t be happier that it’s here. Open from 4 to 10 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, this establishment is perfect if you’re looking to enjoy a lovely date night with that special someone. While they bill themselves as a wine and dessert bar, they also serve a variety of beers as well as cheese and charcuterie boards.

The Fritz
At The Fritz, you’ll enjoy a delightful selection of tapas, sandwiches, wine, and beer. The tapas menu is quite extensive and perfect for those patrons who enjoy trying a little bit of everything. Unique flavors, incredible variety, and a lovely outdoor seating section help to make this restaurant stand out. The Fritz can get quite busy during peak hours, but it’s definitely worth the wait! The Fritz is located at 113 East Sackett Avenue.
Highside Bar & Grill
Get to the High Side! Enjoy a refreshing drink on our riverside patio where you can watch boaters play in the Arkansas River. Take advantage of their happy hour food and drink specials – Monday through Friday – as well as their late night food served until 10:00pm from Sunday to Thursday and until 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights!
Currents
Currents is located at 122 North F Street. It’s a wonderful choice after you’ve had a long day of outdoor adventures. Situated on the river, you’ll also enjoy some lovely views as you dine. Their menu includes sandwiches, steak, pasta, and fresh seafood plus a nice selection of beer and wine. If you’re in the mood for a little entertainment, there’s Open Mic night on Wednesdays and live music on various days throughout the week.
