Perfect for individuals ages 6 and up who are in good health, the Lost Canyon Zipline Tour is sure to provide everyone with a thrilling and memorable vacation experience. This tour “consists of 7 cables — 6 exciting, high-flying cable rides between 200-700 feet in length and a practice (Bunny Zip) cable that is 80 feet long. The Bunny Zip is only 5 feet off the ground, allowing our zipline ‘trainees’ to have their feet on the ground anytime they assume a standing position. The zipline tour cables, however, are stretched over a rocky canyon some 150-200 feet deep.”
“This was our families first time zip lining. My husband and I took our 11 and 8 y/o daughters. What a blast!!! Beautiful views and extremely fun ziplines. Our guides kept us safe and laughing the whole time and put our whole group at ease and made sure it was a fun time for all! We will definitely be back.” From TripAdvisor

Winter Family-Friendly Activities
“In town during the winter season? Come explore the San Isabel National Forest. Only a mile from Monarch Ski Area and 30 minutes from Salida, Colorado. Learn about the sport of mushing and about our Alaskan huskies as they pull you along the trail with snow-laden trees against the backdrop of the Sawatch Range.”

“It was the first time driving a snowmobile and Monarch Snowmobile tours were more than welcoming and accommodated our needs. Our guide Tommy was great! Very patient and entertaining, definitely took the time to teach us the controls of the machine and the fundamentals of driving these machines. The trail that he used was good for a beginner and we enjoyed the stop at the mine. My family enjoyed the free time because we were able to practice on our own and drive and enjoy the scenery.” From TripAdvisor
“The Salida Hot Springs Pool is the largest indoor hot springs facility in the country. Our water is gathered from an underground spring eight miles up the road, high in the Rocky Mountains. From there, it is piped directly to our pools through insulated pipeline, delivering fresh hot water continually. This sparkling clear, odorless water was originally enjoyed by the area’s first inhabitants, the Ute Indians. We now respect and enjoy this water for it natural refreshing and warming qualities. The Salida Hot Springs Pool public facilities consist of a large 25 meter, 6 lane pool, and a smaller, hotter soaking and play pool. ” The Aquatic Center is open year-round, making it a wonderful choice regardless of when you’re visiting.
