What time is check-in & check-out?
What if I want an earlier check-in time?
If you would like an early check-in, please call the office at 719-539-6953 on your arrival day and we will do our best to accommodate your request. An early check-in is not always guaranteed due to housekeeping and maintenance.
What is the payment/cancellation policy?
Payment & Cancellation: A deposit of 50% of the total reservation amount is due by Credit Card at the time of booking. Full payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. If you need to cancel a reservation and are 31 days prior to your arrival date, your full deposit will be refunded less a handling charge of $100.00 per chalet. There is No Refund for cancellations within 30 days of your Arrival Date. We are not responsible for loss, delay, or expenses incurred due to weather, strike, road closures, flight cancellations or any other unforeseen circumstances.
Do you allow pets? Is there a pet fee?
Yes! We love pets! The pet fee is $30 per pet, per stay with a maximum of 2 pets.
What is the elevation of the property?
Creekside Chalets is located at 8,200 feet above sea level. Which means! Be careful and conscious of how quickly you go from places like Denver to higher elevations as altitude sickness has the potential to have an effect on you and/or your loved ones and pets.
How private are the cabins?
Creekside Chalets is a 10-acre property with 9 chalets. The chalets are all located nearby each other but each revels in their own privacy.
How far are the cabins from Monarch Mountain/Downtown Salida?
Creekside Chalets is located 9 miles Northwest of the ski resort. Salida is located 9 miles Southeast of the chalets.
Additional FAQs
There are standard Mr. Coffee makers in each chalet and coffee filters are provided but not coffee grounds.
The pet fee is $30 per pet, per stay, max 2 pets per chalet. If you bring any additional pets without prior authorization, a $100 daily fine per animal will be charged.
Yes, there is ample parking available around the property for large trailers. Please call the office and we will inform you of the best location for your accommodations.
No open fires are allowed. Propane fire pits are allowed as long as they have an on/off valve. Please read for current fire ban status.
Please take your garbage out to the green dumpster that is located near the entrance of the property. Leave only clean dishes, pots & pans in the kitchen and pantry. Ventilate rooms (not during the winter months) by leaving the windows open and the fans on. Place all used towels, washcloths, hand towels, pillowcases, fitted sheets, and flat sheets in the red laundry bag that is provided. The dish rag towels with a green strip can be placed on top of the red bag, as those are kept separate by Alsco Linen Service. Please leave the duvet cover on the bed comforter as well as the zippered pillow encasements on the pillows, those items are serviced by our housekeeping operation. It is very important to wash your hands thoroughly & avoid touching your face after cleaning.
The closest grocery store is in Poncha Springs 5 miles from the chalet. There are also restaurants and gas stations in Poncha Springs. Salida is 10 miles from the chalets and has all the necessary provisions.
In the summer time the chalets have evaporative coolers. There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms.
Yes, there are gas fireplaces in the chalets that are controlled by the thermostat. There are also electric baseboard heaters in each chalet.
The free WiFi connection provides basic internet service with limited access to stream music & movies. The WiFi instructions are provided in the chalet.
Verizon cell service works well at the property but Sprint, AT&T, and other carriers do not have great reception at the resort. Please activate your WiFi Calling on your cell phone for optimal reception. There is a telephone located on the kiosk at the entrance of the property for free long-distance, local calls, or emergencies.
Each chalet has a private hot tub steps from the bedroom door.
We appreciate your service but we do not offer military discounts at this time.
Yes, we allow fishing in the creek. Please obtain a CO Fishing License.
