One-Bedroom Cabins
All of our one-bedroom cabins have sleeping accommodations for up to six people, which makes them a great choice for families or small groups. With charming, western-themed furnishings and tasteful decor, you’ll feel right at home as soon as you walk inside. For each of our cabins, the front door opens to an open and spacious living room that boasts vaulted ceilings and lots of light. This room also features a 55-inch LED TV (with a DVD player) and a gas fireplace, which adds a charming touch on those cold and snowy nights. Just off the living room is the fully-equipped kitchen. The open layout will make it easy for you and yours to gather together after a long day of outdoor adventures.
As we mentioned, the kitchen has almost everything you might need, whether you’re planning on making a snack or a feast. It includes a coffee maker, toaster, Crock Pot, dishes, utensils, and cookware as well as a microwave, refrigerator, and four-burner stove and oven. The dining table provides room for four and there’s room for two more at the bar. In the bedroom, you’ll find a King size cool gel memory foam bed with a down alternative comforter and pillows, both of which are hypoallergenic. Additional sleeping accommodations include a Queen size cool gel memory foam sofa sleeper and a Queen size Murphy bed in the living room. There’s WiFi access as well as parking for two vehicles (per cabin). Finally, each of our one-bedroom cabins has its own private outdoor hot tub, so you’ll have no problem soothing those sore muscles after a day on the slopes.
Mt. Antero
What We Love About Mt. Antero: It’s just steps from the North Fork of the South Arkansas River so the sound of a rushing river is ever-present while you’re outside or relaxing in the hot tub.
What One of Our Guests Had to Say: “Jillian and Jason were super attentive and very accommodating. We ski Monarch a lot and love the convenience of the location both to the resort and to Salida. We had a great time and will definitely be back!” Stephanie W.
Mt. Harvard
What We Love About Mt. Harvard: It’s a popular choice for families thanks to a large open space that’s right in front. During the winter months, that open space has been the home of many a snowman and snow fort over the years, which lends a great sense of community to the property.
What One of Our Guests Had to Say: “Myself and four of my girlfriends stayed here for a girls weekend. I wasn’t sure what to expect but when we got there we were all blown away. It was a perfect home base for this area. The cabin was a great size for us and the grounds were lovely. I would recommend this to anyone.” N. Guthrie
Mt. Massive
What We Love About Mt. Massive: The views! This chalet has the best views of Mount Shavano of all our cabins and you can enjoy them from the hot tub or through the back windows.
What One of Our Guests Had to Say: “We were delighted to find this ‘one of a kind’ chalet type cabin. We found it just as website described. Our family of 4 had plenty of room in Mt Massive unit. Master bedroom/bath is spacious with a comfortable bed, and well stocked with linens. Kitchen supplies could be better stocked, and a bit cleaner – but the new owners only had it for 2 weeks, and I assume that will be addressed when there is time. Grounds are woodsy and well-kept.” Patrice P
Mt. Princeton
What We Love About Mt. Princeton: It has a prime location that’s right next to the seasonal creek that runs through the property and that’s also right next to parking (making it easy to quickly get inside on extremely cold days).
What One of Our Guests Had to Say: “We stayed here for a family ski weekend. It’s close, clean, comfy and conducive to quality family time. Will stay here again!” Ami B.
Mt. Shavano
What We Love About Mt. Shavano: This cabin is located 35 feet from the North fork of the South Arkansas River and it’s the most secluded chalet on the property. If you’re visiting for a romantic getaway, this is the property for you!
What One of Our Guests Had to Say: “Stayed for 2 nights on a ski trip and this was a great spot. Room for all 6 of us. Hot tub. Kitchen with everything needed to cook. And right by the river so awesome natural soundtrack to sleep to. Would stay again!” Sterling D.
Mt. Yale
What We Love About Mt. Yale: It offers great views of the meadow and creek, both of which become even more picturesque under a dusting of fresh snow. Pro tip: get a hot cup of cocoa, relax on one of the couches, and watch the snow fall for a truly peaceful experience.
What One of Our Guests Had to Say: “This chalet community is easy to find, right off the main highway, yet feels secluded being about 10-15 minutes from the local town center where you can find shopping and restaurants. It is very accessible to all of the outdoor activities we enjoy and it was great to find a spacious, clean, pet friendly place to lodge. Our host, Jillian responded timely and was very pleasant to deal with. We would absolutely stay again.” A Muzic
Two-Bedroom Cabins
Our two-bedroom cabins have all the amenities you’ll find in our one-bedroom cabins except with one extra bedroom (obviously) that includes two Queen size cool gel memory foam beds. These cabins have sleeping accommodations for up to 10 people.
Mt. Elbert
What We Love About Mt. Elbert: It’s close to the creek that runs through the property and you can enjoy the view of Mount Shavano from the hot tub.
What One of Our Guests Had to Say: “Great place to stay ….it is very close to Monarch ski area ….we stood in Mt Elbert great for 10 people …overall spacious and cozy hot tub was great after a day of skiing…..we will be back for sure!” Emily G.
Mt. Oxford
What We Love About Mt. Oxford: Somehow, this cabin feels both cozy and spacious all at the same time, which makes it feel even more homey while you’re on vacation.
What One of Our Guests Had to Say: “Very cute place to stay! We had oven and hot tub issues and the owners called me immediately and offered to fix it right away. Dog friendly and had a walking trail through the cabins next to a creek. I would stay again especially if going skiing at monarch!” Kristin J.
Three-Bedroom Cabin
Formerly the office and owner’s residence, Mt. Columbia is our largest stand alone chalet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has room for up to 10 people. Two of the bedrooms include King size cool gel memory foam beds and the third bedroom has a Queen size cool gel memory foam bed. There are also two additional Queen size cool gel memory foam beds in the second living room. There are a number of other features that make Mt. Columbia that much more special. It’s the only unit with:
- a washer and dryer
- a fenced yard
- leather furnishings
- a 65-inch dlp tv in the living room
- a second kitchen and bar area
What We Love About Mt. Columbia: We’ll be honest – Mt. Columbia has a few more luxurious features than some of the other cabins. Plus, it’s just a wonderful space for entertaining family and friends.
What One of Our Guests Had to Say: “The Mt. Columbia Chalet was great! We had 8 adults and all slept very comfortably. We could have easily fit two more. The house is conveniently split into two living areas, giving people space to spread out. The living areas and bedrooms were large and comfortable. The fenced in backyard was perfect for the dogs. And the front deck/table would be amazing for summer or a warm winter day. The hot tub was perfect after a long day on the slopes (Monarch is only 15 minutes away). The house is on the highway, but we weren’t bothered by the noise. Jillian, our contact, was very responsive to our requests. She even let us check out late so we could ski Sunday & clean up after. (No one was checking in and we gladly paid a fee.) Overall, this was a great place and made for a great weekend!” Christina H.
